In some cases, you may no longer need a specific Keycloak deployment; whether it's for testing purposes, a completed project, or simply to clean up unused resources. Cloud-IAM provides deletion options based on your subscription plan.

⚠️ Export your data first

Deletion is irreversible. Make sure you have exported everything you need before you start. For exit guarantees, retention timelines, and what it costs to leave, see the Data Deletion & Exit Policy.

How to delete your freemium deployment

If you're on a free plan and are the owner of your organization, you can delete your deployment directly from the Cloud-IAM Console. This feature is only available for freemium deployments only.

Steps to delete your deployment:

  1. Open Cloud-IAM console
  2. Select the Keycloak deployment you want to delete.
  3. Navigate on Advancedsection
  4. Click on General tab
  5. Click Delete to initiate the deletion process
  6. In the confirmation pop-up, enter the exact name of your deployment
  7. Then click on Delete to confirm the action

This action will permanently delete your Keycloak deployment along with all associated data.

How to Delete a paid deployment

On paid plans, self-deletion is disabled to prevent accidental data loss and ensure contractual compliance. Deletion is processed manually by the Cloud-IAM support team

How to request deployment deletion and subscription cancellation

  1. Submit a ticket or send a direct email to support.
  2. Use the subject line: Request to delete deployment and cancel subscription
  3. In your message, include the following details:
    • Organization ID
    • Deployment name
    • Deployment ID
    • Reason for deletion
    • Target date for the deletion (if applicable)

The deletion process by our support team

  1. The support team acknowledges your request and confirms the termination details, based on your subscription granularity and our Terms of Service.
  2. You are advised to export any data you need before deletion begins. Use the Export feature (Keycloak-compatible JSON) and the Backup feature (complete PostgreSQL dump).
  3. On the agreed date, the technical team deletes your deployment and all associated data. Per our retention policy, no data is retained beyond 30 days after this deletion, more details on Data Deletion & Exit Policy
  4. The support team sends a final confirmation of the deletion and subscription cancellation.

⚠️ Important

This operation is irreversible. Please make sure to back up your data before requesting deletion.
